Privacy
Magpie Labs Ltd ("Magpie", "we", "us") takes privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect when you use madebymagpie.co.uk or contact us, and what we do with it.
Who we are
Magpie Labs Ltd is a private limited company registered in England and Wales, trading as Magpie. You can contact us at hello@madebymagpie.co.uk.
What we collect
When you visit this website: nothing identifying you personally. We don't use analytics cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party trackers. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which logs standard request data (IP address, user agent) for security and performance reasons. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which sets a standard HTTP request.
When you email us at hello@madebymagpie.co.uk: we receive your email address, name (if provided) and the contents of your message. We use this only to reply and, if we go on to work together, to deliver that work.
When we work together: we'll collect whatever information is needed to deliver the project. This is handled under a separate agreement and is kept confidential.
Legal basis
Under UK GDPR, we process your personal data on the basis of legitimate interest (to respond to your enquiry) and, where relevant, contractual necessity (to deliver a project you've engaged us for).
Sharing
We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. If we use a third-party tool to deliver client work (for example, an email provider, cloud storage, or a development platform), we'll tell you in the relevant project agreement.
How long we keep it
Enquiry emails: kept while we're actively in conversation, and for up to 24 months afterwards in case you get back in touch. Then deleted.
Client project data: kept for the duration of the engagement and for 6 years after final invoice, to meet UK tax record-keeping requirements. Then deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to its processing. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@madebymagpie.co.uk.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
